Museum Quality Archival “Giclee” Prints

Your photos and original artwork capture a moment in time that will never be replicated. While social media and online distribution of images are widely used, this is a temporary medium that will be forgotten with time. Memories that will be passed down for generations deserve to be printed and displayed with lasting permanence. We offer a limited, regional printing service that combines the finest pigment-based inks and archival grade papers to preserve your art for generations. We currently do not ship as we take pride in the personal relationships we can build in our local community — Nocatee and the surrounding Jacksonville region.

Beautiful results every time

The paper featured here is Red River Softgloss Rag

While we print from our home, our equipment is the same professional equipment you would see in commercial print labs. We have three dedicated photography and fine art printers. Our large format Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-2000 printer is our primary commercial printer. This printer prints up to 24” wide and uses pigment inks for lasting, beautiful prints. These inks allows for us to print on a wide range of papers to match your image uniquely to the beautiful attributes of fine art papers. To support the wide format printer for small jobs, like small batches of greeting cards, we have the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-1000 printer. This printer uses the exact same inks as the larger format printer, so consistency from small prints to large poster-sized printings is possible. Finally, we maintain a Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer for proofing jobs. We offer this printer as an option for low cost proofing options for people to gain a feel for what an image may look like printed. This printer uses dye-based inks and color reproductions with this printer is not as robust as the two imagePROGRAF printers supporting the production work.

We specialize in making your art look its best on paper. If you are interested in purchasing some of our art, please feel free to reach out to us for available options. The portfolio offers some of the selections we have available.

What to expect when ordering with us:

We are a small scale print shop that strives to offer the customer service that larger companies cannot. We will happily discuss paper choices to align your art in its printed form with your vision. We will provide inquiry if we see that your image may benefit from some minor post processing (e.g., color correction) prior to printing. We offer these adjustments at no cost to you. More involved “photoshopping” is beyond the scope of what we offer with our print service. We strive to have a quick turn around on the printing, but availability of paper may result in some delay. This will be communicated to you if applicable. Once printed, the pigment inks do their best if they are cured for at least a day. You can allow this curing in your home if you are eager to take possession of your print (and who wouldn’t be!) or we can safely store it until it is ready for your final mounting and display.

Pricing:

We offer a simplified pricing model based on the size of the printed page (not necessarily the size of the ink on the page). We charge a basic set up fee of $5 per image and then $0.10 per square inch. Using this formula, an 11”x14” image would cost $20.40 + tax. Multiple prints of the same image can be obtained with a $5 discount each.

Quick Pricing Guide:

$3.50 + tax for 5”x7” greeting cards (volume discounts available, please inquire)

$13.00 + tax for 8”x10”

$20.40 + tax for 11”x14”

$37.00 + tax for 16”x20”

The basic set up charge is a visual inspection of the image resolution and exposure correction to ensure acceptable print results. Most smartphone photograph are easily printed up to 11'“x14”. For larger prints, the highest resolution file you have should be used.

Paper Choices:

We maintain an inventory of a range of fine art papers to meet most needs in the common sizes for home display. Selection amongst these papers, when available, is available at no extra cost. However, if you would like to print on alternative papers, custom paper orders can be considered at additional costs.

Red River Palo Duro Softgloss Rag

This is a wonderful paper that has excellent texture that comes from the 100% cotton rag composition. The softgloss is very pleasing and brings just the right pop to the printed image. The paper is ideal for nearly anything that can be printed from a cherished newborn photo to an original drawing that you want to print. The paper begs to be handled so do not be afraid to order some smaller prints that can be placed in an archival box that can be brought out and handled during special occasions. The traditional look for this paper is to frame it with matting and display behind glazing (“glass”). However, it looks wonderful if you choose a more modern display mounted and framed without any glazing.

Red River Palo Duro Etching

Texture sets this 100% cotton rag paper apart. The paper has a soft texture that resembles watercolor paper. This sets the paper apart and creates a connection to the paper this is not matched with other papers. The paper has a slight warmth that works very well with black and white prints and soft, abstract images. That said, it works perfectly well for portraits and makes a nice single sided Christmas card. The texture of this paper lends itself very well to a deckled edge.

Current size availability: 24” wide on the short side, any length

Lyve Matte Canvas

This provides a very flexible medium for all of your home art needs. Prints made on canvas may be displayed over a wood stretcher like canvas prints ordered online, or mounted and framed like any other photograph paper. Canvas bring a texture to the final printed image to help set it apart from standard glossy prints that are commonly produced by department store printing services. One of the key advantages of canvas prints is you typically do not need a glazing (“glass”) in front of the print. This can greatly reduce the cost of the final work.

Moab Moenkopi Washi

This fine art paper is the most unique offering we have. This paper is translucent and contains textures woven into the paper. The paper works well with bold photos that demands attention. While it can work with minimalistic images, the details in the print can be lost to the textures of the paper. This may not necessarily be a negative as the textures may create interest in the print that would otherwise not be there. No two prints will be alike.

Proofing Paper

In addition to the fine art papers, we have a supply of typical resin based papers. These papers tend to be the papers many think of when considering photography papers. They are glossy or luster texture, thin, and have a plastic feel to them. Many of these papers provide excellent longevity, but are not archival grade. The papers do provide great options for proofing prints and visualizing the printed image on the wall.
